Love Woven into Dance

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FESTIVAL

Friday, 19 June 2026 – 8:00 PM
(No rain date)

 Margitsziget Open-Air Stage

The highlight and grand finale of the Duna Carnival is the spectacular Gala Performance presented each year in the enchanting setting of the Margitsziget Open-Air Stage. Nearly 300 performers from Hungary and across the world come together for an extraordinary evening of music, dance, and cultural celebration, joined by outstanding young talents from the FolKid Children’s Festival.

A Celebration of Love Through the Language of Dance

Love Woven into Dance is a unique folk-dance production exploring the many dimensions of love through the traditional dances and musical heritage of diverse cultures.

Artists of the Duna Art Ensemble and the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble are joined by distinguished international dance and music ensembles arriving for the carnival, creating a breathtaking collaborative performance that reveals how love lives within national traditions and how dance becomes a universal language connecting cultures, generations, and communities across the globe.

Throughout the evening, melodies, rhythms, and movements from different nations intertwine in a vibrant artistic dialogue, celebrating both the enduring power of folk traditions and the timeless magic of human connection. The encounters unfolding on stage transform the performance into a living tapestry of emotion, passion, and shared cultural memory.

The Duna Carnival Gala is more than a performance — it is a festive encounter of peoples and traditions, where the spirit of dance unites audiences in a truly unforgettable experience.
