Founded in 1982, they have performed with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Gorillaz, and Kylie Minogue. The choir is known for its funky gospel sound, swing-beat, rhythm and blues, traditional and soulful arrangements, lively choreography, and vocal virtuosity.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, they planned a single concert performed by a 120-member choir before an audience of over a thousand. That one-time event turned into a permanent choir, which has been performing for more than 25 years.<\/p>\n<p>Following the success of their first concert, the choir received invitations to perform on television and radio, as well as at various corporate events across the UK and Europe. The group made their television debut on Channel Four's Black on Black, and The Guardian described them as \u201ccontroversial, professional, energetic, inspiring and uplifting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They recorded a version of OutKast\u2019s \u201cHey Ya!\u201d with Razorlight, appeared on Will Young\u2019s debut album From Now On, and sang on Blur\u2019s hit \u201cTender.\u201d They also featured on Erasure\u2019s 1995 album and on Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds\u2019 2005 double album Abattoir Blues\/The Lyre of Orpheus. Additionally, they appeared on the tracks \u201cDon't Get Lost in Heaven\u201d and \u201cDemon Days\u201d on Gorillaz\u2019s Demon Days album.
